Anatomical injury advice sheets
From this page, you can now download my latest injury
advice sheets for specific anatomical areas that are commonly injured as a
result of alpine snow sports. These sheets have
been produced in association with the CairnGorm Mountain Ski Patrol. You will
need Adobe Reader on your computer to be able to do this - click on the logo
if you need to download this programme for free.
Otherwise, select the injury advice sheet you would like to download from the
list below. Please note that this advice is generic in nature. As such, whilst
the information presented is done so in good faith, based on the latest
available evidence on snow sports injuries - neither Dr Mike Langran, Aviemore
Medical Practice, CairnGorm Mountain Ski Patrol nor Snow Safety Scotland can
accept any liability for any accident, injury or fatality arising as a result
of following advice on any of these sheets. Downloading a sheet indicates your
acceptance of this disclaimer. Skiers and snowboarders are (for the most part)
human and as such everyone varies - tailor this advice to your needs as much
as possible. If in doubt, try and consult an experienced ski physician locally
- for contacts, click here for the
ISSS web site.
